METALS

• Turnkey upgradation of Skip Drive along with Skip PLC etc… Bottom Charging PLC, BLT PLC and Stoves Instrumentation and Electrics PLC with redundant HMI Server based SCADA and 12Pulse parallel redundant DC Skip Drive for Blast Furnace 4 of SAIL / BSL (Bokaro). Job included complete design & engineering of entire project including civil, structural, electrics and associated equipment. Manufacturing, supply, supervision of erection and commissioning of the DC Drive system, supervision of erection and cold testing of all PLC panels and extending assistance in commissioning of the PLCs. Supply, supervision of erection and commissioning of complete IT hardware and network along with Fire Detection & Alarm system and CO Gas Leakage Detection system.
• Replacement of Siemens Master Drive (common DC application) with Sinamics S120 in Universal Rail Mill of SAIL / BSP (Bhilai) in pre-cambering application.
• Replacement of Mercury Arc Rectifier system with thyristor based static rectifier for generating regulated DC bus at SAIL Growth Works, Kulti which powers various DC motor driven cranes and material handling equipment  
• Replacement of 5 no. Amplidynes with Digital DC Drive for regulation of field of DC Generator at Rail & Structural Mill of SAIL / BSP (Bhilai). Closed loop control of generator field taking speed feedback of connected DC motors, to achieve position control along with creep compensation.
• Upgradation of electrics consisting of Drives, PLC and SCADA system for Pickling Line 1 at CRM 1 & 2 Complex of SAIL / BSL (Bokaro)in partnership with principal contractor. Job included supervision of erection, testing and commissioning of DC drive line ups, cold redundant PLC with distributed remote IOs, cold redundant Server – Client architecture SCADA and associated equipment.
• Upgradation of electrics of Screw Down in Tandem Mill at CRM Complex of SAIL / RSP. Drive panel line-up for front and back mill screw down motors of all 5 stands of the Tandem Mill with Roll Force Calibration, Mill Zeroing and Creep Compensation controls. 
• Upgradation of Skip Drive for Blast Furnace 4 of SAIL / RSP. Redundant parallel combination of power stacks where Master and Slave combination can also be altered without removing power connections.
• Upgradation of electric drive system for 10 stand hot rolling mill at Sul Steel, Sulaymaniyah, in Middle East
• Upgradation of electric drive system for metal slitter lines at K A Industries & Sandhu Tubes, Jamshedpur
• TATA STEEL – Interfacing CO Gas Holder level monitoring system (Siemens S7400-H PLC & WinCC SCADA on ProfiBus & Ethernet) with Flare Stack operation (ABB AC500 Series PLC & panel mount HMI on Modbus & Ethernet) and sending data to central monitoring system (Rockwell PLC and SCADA on Ethernet)
• TATA STEEL – Conversion of Roller Table Group drive system with VVVF drives.
• TATA STEEL – Upgradation on Hot Rolled Bar Mill stand DC drive and interfacing with PLC over Modbus
• Revamp of Furnace Control Panel at MSF, Ichhapore, W.B., under Ordinance Factory Board
• SAIL/RDCIS (Ranchi) — Complete revamp of electrics of old HMOR Furnace (determines the Modulus of Rupture (MOR) of refractory materials under thermal stress) with implementation of Phase Controlled Thyristors for heating, PLC and HMI with data acquisition system for generating sample test reports with time stamping. This replaced the obsolete pen recorders and PID temperature controllers with contactor cut off heating mechanism.

 

MATERIAL HANDLING

• Upgradation of electrics and commissioning of 3 nos. EOT cranes at URM & BRM of SAIL / BSP (Bhilai) having cold redundant AFE Converter and multiple inverters for Hoist, Aux Hoist, Long Travel, Cross Travel and Slew with automatic slow down and anti-collision protection.

 

PD and PQ (POWER DISTRIBUTION & POWER QUALITY IMPROVEMENT)

• Power quality audit and implementation of power factor improvement solution through APFC panels and harmonic mitigation using Active Harmonic Filters at Sul Steel, Sulaymaniyah, Middle East 16. Power quality audit and maximum demand optimization study for Neo Steel, Durgapur
  17. 33kV IC/OG panel, LT PCC, MCC & APFC panel line up for MS Cable, Sulaymaniyah, Middle East

 

MOTION CONTROL & MACHINE TOOLS

• Upgradation of electrics of HG-1 Roll Grinding Machine at CRM Complex of SAIL / RSP. Job included design & engineering, supervision of manufacturing & installation, testing & commissioning of drive system consisting VVVF Drives for Head Stock and Grinding Wheel and Servo Drives for Traverse, Coarse (Rapid) In-Feed and Fine In-Feed with Motion Control PLC and Touch Screen HMI having Recipe Control.
• Upgradation of electrics of Horizontal Boring Machine at Machine Shop Complex of SAIL / BSL (Bokaro). Job included design & engineering, manufacturing, supervision of erection, testing & commissioning of drive system with PLC & retractable pendent type operator control box for Head Stock, Spindle, and those for X, Y, W and Z axis movement motors.

 

MINING

• Conversion of Steam Driven Mine Winder to Line Regenerative (AFE) Electric Drive in partnership with
  principal vendor. Job included supervision of erection and commissioning of AFE VVVF Drive system for main motor and VVVF Drive with braking Resistor for emergency rescue motor with SCADA and PLC. System has been implemented so as to prevent any accident resulting out of human error along with interlocking with Automatic Contrivance Device.
• MCC with Electric drive system for coal crusher at NCL – Open Cast Mine, thru M/s Bharat Westfalia Ltd.

 

WIRE & CABLES

• Upgradation of electrics of numerous multi die wire drawing machines at Usha Martin – Wire Rope Division, Ranchi.
• Upgradation of electrics of numerous multi bobbin rope making machines at Usha Martin – Wire Rope Division, Ranchi.
